Welcome Letter from Principal

Please help your students to finish out the year strong. Getting a good night’s sleep, attending school each day, and always arriving with a fully charged Chromebook are key to that strong finish. Principal Guiley

Dear Parents and Family/Community Members,

Another inspiring year of learning is coming to a close at First Flight Middle School. Students and staff have been working hard  to master concepts and skills that are foundational for future academic success.

Accomplishments of which we are proud include:

We had a student participate in the National Career Development Poetry and Poster Contest. For the second year in a row we have a state winner.

An eighth grade young man is competing in the state geography bee for the third year in a row.

A seventh grade young woman competed at the state level in the science fair.

We have had other things to celebrate over the past few months.  Our wrestling team once again completed a season without a single team defeat, and our boy’s basketball team won the conference tournament. Our baseball and softball teams have gotten off to a great start.

We will send a team of musicians to compete in the Performing Arts Consultants music festival at Old Dominion and Busch Gardens.

Please help your students to finish out the year strong. Getting a good night’s sleep, attending school each day, and always arriving with a fully charged Chromebook are key to that strong finish.

Thanks for yours support in making sure all our students are successful.

Sincerely,

Dave Guiley
