Eighth Grade

Eighth grade at First Flight Middle School is a transition year, bridging middle school and high school. Coursework continues to address the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction Standard Course of Study for Middle Schools, but eligible 8th grade students are also able to increase their academic rigor by enrolling in one or more high school level classes for credit.  

 

Many eighth grade students participate in athletics, clubs, and other extracurricular activities. The National Junior Honor Society is an 8th grade organization whose members annually provide hundreds of hours of service to the community. Eighth grade teachers and their students work together to make the final year of middle school a memorable one!
