Need to Know Parent Info - From Your PTO

The FFMS PTO supports teachers and students throughout the school year. The document below addresses some frequently asked questions.

Need-to-Know INFO.

Dear Parents, Guardians, and Family Members,

On behalf of the First Flight Middle School PTO, welcome to the 2018-2019 school year. We are excited to introduce our new principal, Diane Childress, and our new assistant principal, Curtis Price. Both Diane and Curtis bring administrative and classroom experience to FFMS, and we are eager for the many changes they are initiating in our school, including improved communication between students, teachers, parents and administrators. This summer, they met with every teacher and staff member in the school to discuss the future of FFMS. As Ms. Childress stated during our first PTO meeting, “The classroom isn’t the only place where students learn. The school and everyone in it contribute to an environment of learning.” Your PTO is excited to participate and promote this vision! We’re all in this together for the benefit of the children. You can join the PTO by picking up a form in the front office, online through the school’s website, or through our Facebook page. Just click on Sign Up:

Here, you will find the following resources:  a calendar of events, a listing of staff and teachers, email addresses, academic testing dates, staff/teacher appreciation dates, as well as a listing of clubs, sports, music programs, scheduled performances, information about AVID, AIG, Chromebooks, Parent Portal, Hawk Time and more.

Contact Us: You can contact any of our educators for academic questions or any of our PTO board members with other questions.
